Day 01: Arrive New Delhi
Handicraft Tour India starts with your welcome at New Delhi international airport. You will be greeted by our representative who will arrange your transfer to the pre-booked hotel to relax from jetlag. Overnight at hotel.
Day 02: New Delhi
After breakfast proceed for guided sightseeing of Delhi visiting Red Fort, Humayun’s tomb, Qutab Minar, India Gate, Akshardham temple etc. Overnight at hotel.
Day 03: New Delhi – Jhansi – Chanderi
Early morning transfer to New Delhi railway station to board train Jhansi. Breakfast onboard. Arrive Jhansi, met and drive to Chanderi. Check-into the hotel. Later visit the Bada mahal, Raja rani Mahal, Battisi Baoli and Chanderi fort & Museum. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 04: Chanderi – Jhansi – Agra
After breakfast visit Chanderi Saree factory, where you can experience the hand woven saree making, later drive to Jhansi to board train to Agra. Arrive Agra, met and transfer to a Indian family home where you will be learning some cooking. Later transfer to hotel/Home stay, if available.
Day 05: Agra
After breakfast visit Taj Mahal, Agra fort and Itmad Ud Daulah tomb popularly known as Baby Taj. Apart from your car, we will also give you an experience of travelling like locals in TUK – TUK rickshaw/E- rickshaw. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 06: Agra – Fatehpur Sikri – Jaipur
After breakfast drive to Jaipur enroute visiting Fatehpur Sikri – an epic poem in red sandstone, built by Emperor Akbar the Great in 1569 Visit Buland Darwaza, the victory gate looms 134 feet high. On arrival check-into the hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 07: Jaipur (Feel as a King/Queen)
After breakfast enjoy the royalty of this beautiful city. Ascend the Amber fort on a gaily decorated elephant like an ancient king or Queen. Later visit City Palace, Albert Hall, Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds) and the Royal observatory. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 08: Jaipur
Morning tour to learn different art and craft activities. You will be taken to a studio where you can experience different forms of art like puppet making, blue pottery, clay art, miniature painting, wooden block making, paper mache etc. Each activity has different pricing. Later after lunch visit the Jewellery art and craft place. The jewellers of Jaipur are renowned all over the world. Silver, Gold works of the highest quality, Lac bangles are its special attractions. The Lac Bangles are believed to be worn as a good omen and available in many colours and design. Glass Bangles, Kundan and Minakari jewellery is the speciality of Jaipur city. Kundan, which is the art of setting precious stones in gold are also popular craft here. Jaipur houses a variety of emerald, garnet, ruby, amethyst, topaz and Lapiz lazuli. Jaipur carpets are too making a mark in the Indian Market as well as International. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 09: Jaipur – Bikaner
After early/packed breakfast drive to Bikaner – Founded in 1486 this fourth largest city of Rajasthan is famous for its spicy snack besides its palaces, handicrafts & leather articles. Wash n change at hotel. Proceed for half-day guided sightseeing of Junagarh Fort, Lalgarh Palace and Laxmi Nath Temple. Also visit the place where Articles are made of camel skin, sheep wool, carpets, woollen items and wood items are popular .Even the Bikaneri bhujiya (Indian Snack) are quite a favourite among the people as a good snacks. Bikaner is also famous for Kundan jewellery. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 10: Bikaner – Jaisalmer
After breakfast drive to golden city of India – Jaisalmer. Bordering along the Pakistan border, this desert city founded in 1156 AD by Rao Jaisal (from whom the city takes its name) has an extraordinarily medieval feel and an incredible atmosphere. Late afternoon enjoy camel ride & sunset view from Sam Sand Dunes (40 Kms west of Jaisalmer). Overnight at hotel.
Day 11: Jaisalmer
Breakfast at hotel. Full day guided city sightseeing visiting the Jaisalmer Fort, Jain Temple, Gadsisar Lake, Folk Museum, Patwan Ki Haveli, Salim Singh ki Haveli, Diwan Nathmal ki Haveli, Badal Vilas Palace and evening walk through narrow cobbled streets. The desert city is famous for Mirror works, embroidered articles, woollen pattu shawls and other items of wood, trinkets. Silver jewellery and curious are of better quality and locally produced. Overnight at hotel.
Day 12: Jaisalmer – Jodhpur
Breakfast at hotel, later drive eastwards to Jodhpur – the city founded in 1459 by Rao Jodha. It is the second largest city in Rajasthan after Jaipur. On arrival transferred to hotel for check-in. guided city sightseeing tour including Mehrangarh Fort – one of the largest forts in India, Umaid Bhawan Palace (now a grand heritage hotel) an architectural wonder, Jaswant Thada – a 19th century royal cenotaph, Mandore Gardens – The beautiful gardens with high rock terraces make it a popular picnic spot. The garden has a gate known as the Ajitpol, which is decorated with paintings of the gods and goddesses of Indian mythology & walk through the Clock Tower – In the old city, clock tower is a prominent land mark. But main attraction is the Sadar Market. The market has kept alive the old haat bazaar and culture. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 13: Jodhpur
Breakfast at hotel followed by a guided village safari by jeep to the Bishnoi village to see the hand pottery, Bishnoi huts and local handicrafts. Also visit the places for leather shoes, sandals, water bags, fans, pouches and musical instruments. The Jutis (traditional shoes) come with embroidered uppers. Tie and dye, Antique furniture. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 14: Jodhpur – Udaipur
After breakfast at the hotel, proceed towards Udaipur – the city of lakes. On arrival check-into the hotel. Evening enjoy a sunset boat ride on Lake Pichola to have lovely views of the Jagmandir Palace. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 15: Udaipur
Breakfast at hotel. Later, a guided sightseeing tour of the city visiting Sahelion-ki-Bari – The garden of the maiden’s brings to mind the lifestyle of the ladies of the court. The delightful gardens appear discreet and in impeccable taste, Jagmandir -also known as Lake Garden Palace is an exquisite palace placed in an estuary Island in Pichola Lake in Udaipur (perfect during the evening), the City Palace and Jagdish Temple. You may also like to visit the Crystal Gallery which is a fine collection of the Maharaja’s over generations. A plethora of items like folk toys, colour full tie and dye sarees and clothes, turbans, hand painted fabrics are the best buys of the city of Udaipur. Uaipur is also famous for miniature painting. Overnight at hotel.
Day 16: Udaipur – Kota
After breakfast drive to Kota . On arrival check-into the hotel. Later visit the small units of famous doria sarees, there are small units where sarees are made in all corners of the city. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 17: Kota – New Delhi – Sweet Home
Early morning board Jan Shatabdi train to New Delhi. Arrive by afternoon. Met and get transferred to the hotel for last minute packaging. Evening on time transfer to international airport to board homebound flight with sweet memories of a knowledgeable, fun and enjoyable tour to wonderland – India.
