Gujarat Tribal Tour
Day 01: ARRIVE AHMEDABAD
Welcome to India- a country where hospitality is a way of life; to a culture steeped in tradition, a land where history lives in music and dance. You will be received at the airport in a traditional manner with garlands and proceed to pre booked hotel for overnight stay.
Day 02: AHMEDABAD – POSHINA
Moring after breakfast proceed to seightseeing of Ahmedabad.By auto visit Gandhi Ashram and old city .After that proceed to visit the Calico Museum (it allows only 20 pax per day on prior booking, closed on wednesdays, 2nd & 4th fridays, hence booking is subject to availability.) and Adalaj step well. After lunch drive to Poshina. On arrival check-into hotel for overnight stay.
Day 03: POSHINA
Morning after breakfast proceed to visit nearby villages by jeeps (arranged by Mr. Harpal Singh) and also visit Terracota shrine and offer horses as per popular belief of the people. Visit Bhil, Garasia & Adiwasi villages. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 04: POSHINA – DASADA
Morning after breakfast proceed for Dasada visiting Modhera Sun temple, & Patan – Patola weaving village. On arrival check-into hotel for overnight stay.
Day 05: DASADA
Morning jeep safari in Little Rann of Kutch to see various migratory birds and wild ass. PM visit Rabari and Bhairwad tribal villages around Dasada. Overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 06: DASADA – BHUJ
After early breakfast drive to Bhuj. Enroute visit Dhamadka Village known for block printing. On arrival check-in at hotel. After lunch visit Aaina Mahal, Kutch Museum etc. Later proceed to visit Bhujordi Village or Band market. Overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 07: BHUJ
Full day visit various villages to see different tribes like Nirana (for wood carrving,copper bell & Rogan paintings), Bhrindiyara (Meghwaal community) & Dhordo Village (Muthawa Tribe) the Saudi Arabians who migranted around 500 years ago.This happens to be the last village on Gujarat border. Inhabitants of these villages are engaged in different textile handicrafts such as Leather embroidery, mirror work, Rogan painting on fabric, shawl weaving, vegetable dye printing etc. Overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 08: BHUJ – DHOLAVIRA – WANKANER
Drive from Bhuj to Wankaner enroute visiting DHOLAVIRA the archaeological site of Indus Valley civilization. Arrive Wankaner after a long journey. Overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 09: WANKANER – BARODA
After breakfast drive to visit the Lothal Ruins than proceed for the lunch to Utelia palace. After Lunch proceed to Baroda check into hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 10: BARODA
After early breakfast day visit Kavat village weekly market , Chhota Udeypur market & weavers. After the Lunch at Chhota Udaipur Visit Rathava and Nayak Tribes.than while returning back to hotel visit the Pithora Painting and local houses. Overnight at Baroda.
Day 11: BARODA – AHMEDABAD – DELHI
Morning after breakfast proceed to visit the Champaner which is the only world heritage site of the Gujrat. Enjoy the lunch at Champaner. Later drive to Ahmedabad. On arrival dinner at Ahmedabad and proceed to airport to board flight to your final destination.
