Day 04: Flying to the Gemstone Capital of India
We leave the coast behind and fly north into Rajasthan, arriving in the vibrant “Pink City” of Jaipur—the undisputed global hub for colored gemstone processing. After checking into your hotel, your guide leads you into the bustling artisan quarters. You will spend the afternoon visiting Gem and Jewelry factories, sitting alongside local masters who specialize in the high-precision faceting and polishing of emeralds, rubies, and sapphires, followed by an evening walk through the colorful local bazaars.
Day 05: Elephant Ascents and Pink Palaces
Today combines royal architecture with astronomical science. We travel like old royalty, ascending to the grand gates of the hilltop Amer Fort on the back of a gaily decorated elephant. After touring its mirrored halls, we head back down to the city floor to explore the multi-tiered, honeycombed facade of the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds).
