DAY 1: ARRIVE GUWAHATI – SHILLONG (150km / 2h 30min)
Meet and greet upon arrival by our representative and then transfer to Shillong. The ‘Gleneagles of the East’ lies in the centre of a plateau surrounded by Khasi hills. Overnight in Shillong.
DAY 2: SHILLONG
After Breakfast, full day sightseeing of Shillong. The ‘Gleneagles of the East’ lies in the centre of a plateau surrounded by Khasi hills. The gorgeous city offers amazing tourist spots.
Enroute sightseeing includes: Don Bosco Museum of Indigenous Culture, Ward’s Lake, Botanical Garden, Lady Hydari Park, Golf Course, Elephant Falls, Shillong Peak. Later come back to hotel. Overnight in Shillong.
DAY 3: SHILLONG – NARTIANG – SHILLONG (150 kms approx)
After Breakfast, excursion to Nartiang, Monolith of Jaintia Kingdom. Monoliths exist throughout the length and breadth of the Khasi and Jaintia Hills. Later come back to Shillong. Overnight at Shillong.
DAY 4: SHILLONG – CHERRAPUNJEE (65 kms / 1.50 hrs)
After Breakfast, transfer to Cherrapunjee. Cherrapunjee is framed as the wettest place on Earth is 60 kms from Shillong. The journey from Shillong to Cherrapunjee offers a pleasant drive as one witness numerous waterfalls & gorges. Longer stay gives opportunity to the visitor to explore limestone caves & waterfalls, the amazing living root bridges and galore of water & adventure activities. While the must visit places are the gorgeous Seven Sisters falls and the Mawsmai cave is in your tour plan.
Enroute sightseeing includes: Ramakrishna School and Museum, Eco Park, Nohsngithiang Falls, Nohkalikai Waterfalls, Mawkdok Dympep Valley View, Dainthlen Waterfalls. Check in to Hotel & Overnight stay in Cherrapunjee.
DAY 5: CHERRAPUNJEE –MAWLYNNONG –CHERRAPUNJEE (190 kms approx.)
After Breakfast, excursion to Mawlynnong. Mawlynnong is a village of 75 households with a population of 400. An idyllic location, this village epitomizes a standard, which all other villages need to aspire to be. Dubbed the cleanest village in India by Discover India Magazine. Paved walkways and beautiful flowerbed all along mark the village, with waterfalls, a living root bridge, and hilly rivulets. Later return back to Cherrapunjee. Overnight in Cherrapunjee.
DAY 6: CHERRAPUNJEE – GUWAHATI DEPARTURE
After Breakfast, return back to Guwahati Airport / Railway station for your departure. Your tour ends here with pleasant memories.
