DAY 1: ARRIVE GUWAHATI

Meet and greet upon your arrival by our representative. Transfer to your hotel, check in and freshen up for local sightseeing of Guwahati, the Capital city of Assam and Gateway of Northeast, it is the Central business region of Northeast. Pay your obeisance at the numerous Temples – Maa Kamakhya. Sukreshwar. Umananda. Navagraha, Bashistha Ashram. Tirupathi Balaji and many more. Visit the Second world war Cemetery, State Museum, State Zoo & Srimanta Sankardeva Kalakshetra (A museum of Assam diverse culture), and Science Museum beside the temples. Overnight at Guwahati.

DAY 2: GUWAHATI – SHILLONG (150km / 2h 30min)

Meet and greet upon arrival by our representative and then transfer to Shillong. The ‘Gleneagles of the East’ lies in the centre of a plateau surrounded by Khasi hills.  En-route visit UMIUM LAKE BARAPANI PARK. After lunch go for sightseeing. The gorgeous city offers amazing tourist spots. The sightseeing includes Don Bosco Museum of Indigenous Culture, Ward’s Lake, Botanical Garden, Lady Hydari Park, Golf Course, Elephant Falls; Shillong Peak. Overnight in Shillong.

DAY 3: SHILLONG – CHERRAPUNJEE – SHILLONG (190 kms approx.)

After Breakfast, excursion to Cherrapunjee. Cherrapunjee is framed as the wettest place on Earth is 60 kms from Shillong. The journey from Shillong to Cherrapunjee offers a pleasant drive as one witness numerous waterfalls & gorges. Longer stay gives opportunity to the visitor to explore limestone caves & waterfalls, the amazing living root bridges and galore of water & adventure activities. While the must visit places are the gorgeous Seven Sisters falls and the Mawsmai cave is in your tour plan. Enroute sightseeing includes: Ramakrishna School and Museum, Eco Park, Nohsngithiang Falls, Nohkalikai Waterfalls, Mawkdok Dympep Valley View, Dainthlen Waterfalls. Later come back to Shillong Hotel. Overnight in Shillong.

DAY 4: SHILLONG – DAWKI – MAWLYNNONG –SHILLONG (205 kms approx)

After breakfast, excursion to Dawki, en-route visit Mawlynnong.

Mawlynnong village, situated 90 kms ahead of Shillong, on the Shillong-Dawki Road, 30 kms from Pynursla, is a village of 75 households with a population of 400. An idyllic location, this village epitomizes a standard, which all other villages need to aspire to be. Dubbed the cleanest village in India by Discover India Magazine, the primary Village School till class V boasts of its no dropout record and the village of 90 % literacy. Paved walkways and beautiful flowerbed all along mark the village, with waterfalls, a living root bridge, hilly rivulets, acacia plantation and an excellent view of the faraway plains of Bangladesh all contribute to the ambience of this village. Farming of betel nut & leaves, broomsticks and pepper along with bee rearing are the primary economic activity of the village. Overnight in Shillong.

 DAY 5: SHILLONG – NARTIANG – SHILLONG (150 kms approx)

After Breakfast, excursion to Nartiang, Monolith of Jaintia Kingdom. Monoliths exist throughout the length and breadth of the Khasi and Jaintia Hills. Later come back to Shillong. Overnight at Shillong.

DAY 6: SHILLONG – KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK (Approx 325 kms)

After Breakfast, Check out hotel to go to Kaziranga National Park, the home of “One Horned Rhinoceros”. Check in at your hotel. Evening free for leisure or explore the local market. Overnight stay in Kaziranga.

 

DAY 7: KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK

Early morning explore any one zone of Kaziranga National Park on back of Elephant i.e. ELEPHANT SAFARI (Optional: Unless it is mentioned in the inclusion). Get up early morning at 5.30AM and start for both central range ‘Kohora’ and western range ‘Bagori’. Apart from the Rhino, other species found are Hog Deer, Swamp Deer, Wild Buffalo, Elephants and if you are lucky then tiger also. At 6:30 AM return to the hotel / resort for Breakfast & take little rest.

Afternoon around 01.45 PM you have JEEP SAFARI in Central range. Kaziranga National Park, has become synonymous with successful conservations of Great One Horn Rhinoceros / Unicornis and also a home of many other threatened species including Indian Elephant, Tiger, Hoolock GibbonGanges dolphin, SambarBarasingha or Swamp DeerHog Deer, Indian MuntjacWater Buffalo and Gaur etc. Among the reptiles’ species like Water Monitor Lizard, Indian python, Cobra and the King Cobra are found. Return back to resort / hotel. Overnight in Kaziranga. 

DAY 8 : KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK – GUWAHATI: DEPARTURE (250km / 3h 30 min)

After Breakfast, return back to Guwahati Airport / Railway station for your departure. Your tour ends here with pleasant memories.
