Day 1: Arrive Mumbai
Traditional welcome on arrival at Chattrapati Shivaji Mumbai international airport and transfer to the prebooked hotel. For overnight rest from jetlag.
Day 2: Mumbai - Bhavnagar (flight)
After breakfast relax at the hotel. Later in afternoon transfer to domestic airport to catch a flight to Bhavnagar - important trading place for cotton products. On arrival, check into the heritage hotel. Evening, visit the Takhteshwar Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. This temple is built on a small hillock overlooking the city and provides great views of the city and the Gulf of Cambay. Overnight at hotel.
Day 3: Bhavnagar - Palitana - Lothal (220 kms)
After breakfast, proceed for a half day guided excursion to Palitana situated 50 kms southwest of Bhavnagar. Palithana is world renowed for its famous 863 Jain temples on hilltops. Later drive to Lothal, the ancient Indus City. On arrival check into the hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 4: Lothal - Ahmedabad (85 kms / 1.5 hrs)
After breakfast, enjoy a half-day guided tour of the excavations at the ancient Indus City of Lothal. Later drive to Ahmedabad. The city of Ahmed Shah is known for its rich past and its association with the Mahatma Gandhi. The city offers the traveler a unique style of architecture, which is a blend of Hindu and Islamic styles (Indo-Saracenic style of architecture). On arrival check into hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 5: Ahmedabad
After a delicious breakfast at hotel proceed for a full day guided tour of Ahmedabad City visiting Sabarmati Ashram, the tombs of Ahmed Shah and his queens, Jama Masjid, Dada Hari-Wav Step wells (one of the best in north India) and the Calico Museum of Textiles. Overnight at hotel
Day 6: Ahmedabad - Modhera - Udaipur (370 kms / 6 hrs)
After breakfast, drive to Modhera to visit the Sun Temple that was built in 1026 A.D. Post lunch, drive to Udaipur - the city of lakes, surrounded by the ancient Aravali Mountains and set on the edge of three lakes, is a brilliant kaleidoscope of narrow lanes flanked by bright stalls, gardens, lakes, palaces and temples. Enjoy the evening on the banks of the Lake Pichola and spend your time exploring the narrow streets dotted with interesting shops. Overnight at hotel.
Day 7: Udaipur
After breakfast, enjoy full day guided sightseeing of the city including City Palace, Jagdish Temple, Saheliyon-ki-Bari and a excursion to EklingJi, famous for its Jain temples. Overnight at hotel.
Day 8: Udaipur - Chittorgarh (112 kms / 2 hrs)
After breakfast, proceed for Chittorgarh - the capital of Mewar rulers. On arrival check into the hotel for wash-n-change. Then proceed on a guided tour of the Chittorgarh Fort, which stands 180 mtrs high with each stone narrating its own story. Overnight at hotel.
Day 9: Chittorgarh - Pushkar (205 kms / 4 hrs)
After breakfast at hotel, proceed to Pushkar. Visit the only temple dedicated to Lord Brahma (in India) is in Pushkar thus making Pushkar an important pilgrimage city for Hindus. Evening free to relax. Overnight at hotel.
Day 10: Pushkar - Jaipur (120 kms / 2 hrs)
After breakfast drive to Jaipurc - the Pink City of India. Upon arrival in Jaipur, transfer to the hotel for wash 'n' change. Later, proceed for a half-day guided city tour of Jaipur covering Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), City Palace, Jantar Mantar (Royal Observatory). Overnight at hotel.
Day 11: Jaipur
Enjoy breakfast at hotel. Then guided excursion to the majestic Amber Fort. Ascend the magnificent fort on a gaily decorated elephant like an ancient king or queen. Evening at leisure to stroll in the local bazaars to see some handicrafts and artisans. Overnight at hotel.
Day 12: Jaipur - Agra
After breakfast at hotel leisurely drive to Agra enroute visiting Fatepur Sikri - a World Heritage Site. On arrival check into the hotel. Later proceed to visit Agra fort and world famous Taj Mahal - an eternal story of love. Overnight at hotel.
Day 13: Agra - Gwalior (by train)
After breakfast transfer to railway station to board train to Gwalior. On arrival check into the hotel. Later proceed for a half-day guided tour of the Gwalior Fort built in the 15th century by Raja Mansingh Tomar on a hilltop that overlooks the city. Also within the fort premises are located the Man Mandir, Gujari Mahal, Teli-ka-Mandir, the Sas-Bahu temples and the chhatris.Overnight at hotel.
Day 14: Gwalior - Orchha (120 kms / 2 hrs)
After breakfast, drive to Orchha. On arrival check-into the hotel. Evening at relax to enjoy the beauty of this small town to find the essence and real taste of India. Overnight at hotel.
Day 15: Orchha - Delhi (by train)
After breakfast, a half-day guided sightseeing of Orchha. Orchha was the erstwhile capital city of the Bundela rulers. Visit Jahangir Mahal, Rajmahal and Phool Bagh. In the afternoon, drive to Jhansi to catch a train to Delhi. On arrival met and transfer to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 16: Delhi - Onward destination
After breakfast, depending on flight schedule transfer to Airport for flight to onward destination and a loads of memories of India's forts and palaces tour.
